Professor Park, Jae Woo a Korean scientist developed and pioneered Su Jok Therapy, Twist Therapy, Smile Meditation and Smile Yoga. Professor's life course changed when his sick two year old son was treated with acupuncture and he saw the child's health very quickly restored. With greatly aroused curiosity Professor began his holistic health quest, which started with the study of acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. The more Professor Park studied the greater his understanding became and so too he became increasingly aware of his intuitive mind. However, a childhood thought consistently came to the forefront of his mind 'thumb is head'. From childhood, he had always seen the similarity between thumb and head - two parts and one joint. From this 'knowing' came the birth of Su Jok. Su Jok was the first step on Professor Park's new path and as the years have passed he has fine tuned this awesome therapy as well as developing other equally astounding therapies and philosophies that are practiced throughout the world today. Through the endless work of Professor Park, who has simplified therapies that in the past have taken many years to study, we are now able to learn Su Jok, Twist Therapy, Smile Meditation and Smile Yoga as CPD courses which will enable us to fast-track the Smile back to our own life and also the lives of other people.

Ashok Kumar Kothari is Consultant to Smile Academy UK. Ashok works very closely with Prof. Park, Jae Woo and having established the first Smile Academy in his hometown Jaipur, he brings a wealth of experience to our courses. Ashok works tirelessly with the promotion of Su Jok, Twist Therapy, Smile Meditation and Smile Yoga. We are privileged to have him overseeing Smile Academy UK's activities and sharing his extensive knowledge with us.

Marilyn Benson, together with Professor Park's son Minchul, is course organiser and lecturer for Smile Academy UK and Smile Academy EU. Marilyn has worked in complementary health over the past 16yrs as a practitioner and also as a fully qualified lecturer in further education. Although relatively new to Smile philosophies she has qualified in Su Jok and is on a continuous training programme with her mentor Ashok Kumar Kothari.

Min Chul Park's background is Traditional Chinese Medicine. Min Chul studied TCM for five years and graduated from HUBEI Chinese Medicine University in China. Min Chul has a good understanding of Smile philosophies and is a practitioner and lecturer of Smile Academy UK as well as being joint course organiser of all UK and EU Smile activities.
